Trinidad Throws A Tea Party

I know what you may be thinking, but it's not that kind of a tea party. No big corporate sponsors, no megaphones, no disgusting t-shirts or signs with distorted images of Barack Obama, just tea, cookies and art.  Billed as Déjà View & New Tea Party, it was a silent art auction fundraiser for the Trinidad Library.

Above is a drawing of the proposed Trinidad Library and Saunders Park complex.  The Museum has already been finished.

The event was held at Trinidad Town Hall  and there was a good turn out. I left before the auction started so I don't know how much money was raised, but it looked like everyone there was having a good time.

The Library will be located just behind the Chevron Station and will serve as part of the Scenic Gateway Project that is planned for the city entrance.
