U.S. Highway 1 North Of San Francisco

On my way home from the holidays, I took a detour over to Highway 1 north of San Francisco.

This is a world class drive that I would recommend to anyone with the time to spend an extra day getting back to the north coast from S.F or So.Cal.

There are oyster bars, scenic little towns and Noyo Harbor at Fort Brag Ca.
Here are some pictures.

There are  many places to stay from RVand tent  campgrounds and bed and breakfasts joints, inns and motels.  There are even two KOA campgroounds along Highway 1 between San Francisco and Fort Bragg California.  The peace and serenity found along the drive are spectacular. For a small amount of gas and a few days off we on the north coast in Humboldt are just about 3 or 4 hours away from a playground of the rich and famous. Not that that any of us would care about that, but it is one incredible place to see or stay.
