Budget Talks Break Down, Jerry Brown Gives Video Message

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLuZya3tv-Q&feature=player_embedded

According to the Sacramento Bee, on Friday Senate Republican Leader Bob Dutton, R-Rancho Cucamonga and Senenator Bob Huff, R-Diamoond Bar handed the Governor a list of 53 different items that they wanted him to sign on to.  He said in a letter to them after they left that he was very surprosed and frankly. disappointed that "you came today with a very lonog list of demands, many of which are new and have no relationship whatsoever to the budget."  He added at the bottom of the letter, "Lets's get moving!"

  1. Blogger wouldn't let me adjust the size of the font below the video so here it is if you couldn't read the tiny font.

  2. Thanks for the news, Tom, not knowing where we were at with the State budget currently.

Everyone should call these two representatives-- even if you're not a constituent in their district. You are a constituent of the California State budget. Yours truly will. Their response is stalling and galling, putting it mildly.

    Bob Dutton:
    State Capitol, Room 305
    Sacramento, CA 95814
    Phone: (916) 651-4031
    Fax: (916) 327-2272

    Bob Huff:
    State Capitol, Room 5097
    Sacramento, CA 95814
    Phone: (916) 651-4029
    Fax: (916) 324-0922

  3. Yours truly did call as promised. Both are taking a consensus of incoming opinions-- even if you're not in their district. Please be reminded you are in the state and district of California.

I'm asking them to cooperate with Governor Brown and balance the budget... with him. Saying words to the effect that 'yours truly won't be voting Republican if this stallng process keeps up' seems to get their overall attention.

They were nice in accepting a contrary opinion and call. Yours truly encourages all to call and let them know yur opinion-- unless you wish to be silent and accepting the state budget mess being stymied into stalemate... once again.
