California's Eel River Has Dried Up-Video

Even in dry years, the Eel River has at least had some water make it all the way to the Pacific Ocean but yesterday things changed.

The Potter Valley Project removes much of the water from the Eel River and sends it south to the Russian River to be used mostly for wine grapes. Even with this, there is usually some flow left for Salmon.

  1. My son came back from a ride yesterday and said the Eel was dry. I didn't hardly believe it, but knew it had to be true.

Thanks for the video, Tom and Eel River Recovery Project.
