Water Thieves In Humboldt County? The Water Wars Are Here.

According to the only local TV news station in Humboldt County,

KIEM News Channel 3 is reporting that the Southern Humboldt community of Weott has had 20-thousand gallons of drinking water stolen.

 Now they have declared a state of emergency. See the details at KIEM News Channel 3.

Yesterday on Tuesday the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors joined Weott in declaring "a state of emergency".  According to today's Times-Standard newspaper, the County declaration means that new the county can apply for state emergency support and funding to aid with permanent repairs to the Weott water system.
