Monsanto To Challenge California Over Cancer Warning Label On Roundup:
Monsanto spokespersons say that studies in France should not be used to assert that one of the most
widely used herbicides in the world may be carcinogenic. A tentative ruling from a judge says California can require warning labels be applied to their products sold within the state. Monsanto says they will challenge the ruling.
Monsanto attorney Trenton Norris argued in court Friday that the labels would have immediate financial consequences for the company. He said many consumers would see the labels and stop buying Roundup.
